If you've been eyeing Meta's AI glasses, now's the time. MOG Eyewear has officially launched the Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3) and Oakley Meta AI glasses, and I dropped by their pop-up at 1 Utama today, 27 October 2026.
If you want to try them yourself, the pop-up only runs until Sunday, 1 November 2026. Here's what's there.

Pop-up location and hours
- Where: 1 Utama Shopping Centre, Ground Floor, Centre Court area (opposite Uniqlo)
- Dates: 27 October to 1 November 2026
- Hours: 10am to 10pm
You can try them on, get a live demo and find the fit that suits your face. According to MOG's press release, there are several test zones: real-time translation, object recognition and 3K POV video capture for social content.

Why are these AI glasses interesting?
The idea is simple: they look like regular Ray-Ban or Oakley glasses, but there's a camera, speakers and Meta AI built in. Meta AI is multimodal, so it can "see" what you see and "hear" what you hear. All hands-free, with no screen.
Datin Bernice Low, CEO of MOG Group of Companies, said they aren't asking people to wear a bulky computer on their face. Instead, they're offering the Ray-Ban and Oakley styles people already love, with an invisible AI assistant.

Ray-Ban Meta: Gen 3 and Optics Gen 2
The red Ray-Ban wall has two main types:
- Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 3): for everyday style and fashion. Up to 9 hours of battery, IPX4, with polarized, tinted, Transitions or clear lenses
- Ray-Ban Meta (Gen 2) Optics Styles: for prescription wearers. Over 8 hours of battery, IPX4
Both use a 12MP ultra-wide camera with a 100° field of view, video up to 3K, open-ear audio and a wind-optimized 6-mic array.

Oakley Meta: HSTN and Vanguard
- Oakley Meta HSTN: everyday sports style. 12MP, 100°, 3K, 5 mics, up to 8 hours of battery, IPX4. Prizm, Prizm Polar, Transitions or clear lenses
- Oakley Meta Vanguard: for sports performance. A wider 122° field of view, speakers 6dB louder, up to 9 hours of battery and IP67 protection

Hands-on: trying the Oakley Meta Vanguard
At the Oakley Meta booth, my crew and I got to try the Vanguard. It's a wraparound frame with a big lens, and the camera sits in the middle, right above the nose. It fits the booth's tagline perfectly, "Your new way to train".

Photos and videos taken with the glasses can be imported straight into the Meta AI app on your phone or tablet, just like the staff demoed here.

Quick specs for all four models
- Camera: all 12MP ultra-wide, video up to 3K
- Field of view: 100° (Vanguard 122°)
- Mics: Ray-Ban 6 mics, Oakley 5 mics
- Battery: Ray-Ban Gen 3 and Vanguard up to 9 hours, HSTN up to 8 hours, Optics Gen 2 over 8 hours
- Water resistance: IPX4, except Vanguard at IP67
These specs come from the comparison card displayed at the MOG pop-up.

So, are you team Ray-Ban for the classy look or team Oakley for the sporty vibe? 😄
